PTI chief ordered to approach trial court, situation still tense at Zaman Park
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday disposed of a plea filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) seeking cancellation of arrest warrant issued for party chairman Imran Khan in Toshakhana case.
A hearing was held in the Islamabad High Court after the removal of objections to the warrant cancellation plea of Imran Khan. Chief Justice Aamer Farooq reserved the decision after the arguments of the parties were completed
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq ordered that the assurance submitted here should be submitted to the trial court. Imran Khan’s non-bailable arrest warrant will be reinstated.
According to the court order, the trial court should decide after looking at the affidavit. Islamabad High Court, while dealing with the petition of former prime minister Imran Khan, ordered that Imran Khan file his petition in the Sessions Court.
The trial court considered the affidavit in accordance with the law. The court ordered Imran Khan’s lawyers to file a fresh application in the trial court.
